Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. has opened its first location inside a Walmart Supercenter. The move signaled a growth for the chain that has recently found it difficult to compete. The first in-store location will be at the Walmart Supercenter at 3801 Tampa Rd. in Oldsmar. Another is planned at a Walmart in Haymarket, Va., the Tampa Bay Times said. Three financial services companies are targeting the Tampa area, potentially adding 1,000 jobs to Tampa and Hillsborough County.
Each of the deals included state tax incentives, none are finalized and all are scheduled for review by the Hillsborough County Commission and Tampa City Council on Nov. 15, the Tampa Bay Times said.
