Eric began his career in commercial banking, receiving formal training in credit analysis at a major commercial bank and later became a commercial lender, learning from both experiences while financing companies with revenues between $500,000 and $50 million — a background that gives him deep insight into financial statements, risk, deal structure, lending behavior, and how buyers and banks think.
His background is global. Eric worked for Texaco in Brazil, serving in the Finance Department during the early 1990s — a period of extreme hyperinflation, currency instability, and rapid policy swings. Managing financial operations in that environment taught him lessons few advisors ever experience: how businesses survive turbulence, how to protect cash flow under pressure, and how to build durable financial strategies under volatile conditions
Eric holds a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Florida and a Master of International Business from the University of South Carolina, per US News and World Report, the top ranked International Business program in the country.
Over the years, he has started and run multiple businesses in industries including import-export, distribution, securities investment, and insurance. Since 2004, he has been involved in commercial real estate through syndications, development, brokerage, and property management. Today he leads a commercial brokerage and property management firm in Tampa, advising owners throughout Florida.
Most importantly, Eric relates to today’s business owners because he is one. He has built companies, managed people, carried personal guarantees, navigated economic cycles, and understands the pressures facing owners in their 50s, 60s, and 70s.
He doesn’t speak in theory — he speaks from lived experience.
