Net Absorption Positive 8,498 SF in the Quarter
The Tampa/St Petersburg Office market ended the second quarter 2012 with a vacancy rate of 13.8%.The vacancy rate was unchanged over the previous quarter, with net absorption totaling positive 8,498 square feet in the second quarter. Vacant sublease space increased in the quarter, ending the quarter at 611,286 square feet.Tenants moving into large blocks of space in 2012 include: Moffitt Cancer Center moving into 100,000 square feet at 12653 Telecom Dr; Amerilife Group moving into 69,540 square feet at 2650 McCormick Dr; and JC III moving into 68,158 square feet at Netpark.
