Promotions and menu enhancements drove traffic to Bloomin’ Brands Inc. restaurants in the fourth quarter, although unfavorable weather in the Northeast, including Superstorm Sandy, offset traffic increases.
Bloomin’ Brands (NASDAQ: BLMN), Tampa-based parent company of Outback Steakhouse, reported total revenues of $998.4 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, a 4.5 percent increase over $955.6 million for the same quarter in 2011.

Downtown Tampa Army Navy surplus store to shut doors
Tampa’s Army Navy Surplus Market, which has operated in the downtown area at 1312 N. Tampa St. for 75 years, will end its run.
The store will close after it sells everything it has in the store, Manager Awilda LeBron told the Tampa Tribune. A clearance sale is scheduled to begin Feb. 21. The store said it is closing due to store owner Nick Potamitis’ plan to retire, the Tribune said…Continue Reading
